Stunning Solid Silver Duke of Edinburgh Royal Regt (Farmer’s Boys) cedar lined box

Presented to RSM DC Mortimer by the Warrant Officer, C/Sgts & Sgt’s mess of the 1st Battalion, Duke of Edinburgh Royal Regiment in Malta 1964.

The 1st Battalion the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment were a front line British Army Infantry Regiment in the Order of Battle from 1959 until 1994. Everyone who served in this time from Private Soldier to General were known as "Farmers Boys".

Made by the famous Birmingham silversmith “Harman Brothers” and hallmarked for 1962/3, it’s in fabulous condition with hardly a mark on it. (Unused and odd faint scratch) It measures 3.5” x 5.5” x 1.25”H and has an adjustable divider within the cedar inner.
