This plate has been painted under glaze in the middle and after that decorated later with different vibrant colors around.   The paint looks like enamel; it is raised on the surface of the porcelain.  The plate has scalloped and fluted form.  It is 8.5" in diameter and 1.5" high.  I will contact an Asian antique expert about real age of this plate because now late Edo period in the title is based on the description of the similar plates on eBay sales.  I think it has been made earlier than 1800.  I have several antique Japanese plates on sale because of downsizing.   ---UNABLE TO SHIP FROM JUNE 17 UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30 ---
