Beautiful Leather Cased Gold Plated sliding Purse Watch by Mappin (c.1930’s)

This is in fine fettle with the odd slight imperfection commensurate with its age and use, it’s working correctly and keeping good time.

Originally marketed by the famous British Jewellers “Mappin” of Mappin & Webb and it certainly shows their craftsmanship in this exquisite purse watch.

It’s fitted with a 17 Jewel Swiss Incabloc timepice and US patented sliding mechanism, which releases a foot when opened to enable it to stand up. It measures 8cm long when opened and 5cm shut with a width of 3.5cm.

The last 3 of these I had sold really quickly with two jetting their way across to the US & Japan, so don’t dally!
