Now this might come in handy if your on watch, on the bridge of a pusser’s war canoe and busting for a No 1 or a No 2!

Fabulous Copper Royal Navy Warship Emergency Bridge Heads (Toilet) c.1890-1920

Having spent sometime on watch, on the bridge of a RN ship, I can honestly say I’ve never needed one of these but times change. I’d say it was well used in its day on certain types of ships , where you wasn’t allowed to leave your post, especially if you were the Officer of the Watch who hand no one to replace you in your hour of need .

It’s in fine fettle and completely made of copper, the lid is removable but did once have home made hinges.

It measures 12” x 12 x 14”H including the handle and the interior has a well used patina.

Rare as hens teeth! And could be useful whilst camping…
