Antique Japanese samurai kabuto helmet.

This helmet appears to be an Akoda-nari (rounded bulb-shaped) kabuto with visible ridged plate construction, likely an Edo period to early Meiji era piece.

Features:

• Iron construction with aged black lacquer finish
• Multi-lame shikoro (neck guard)
• Decorative fukigaeshi
• Original front crest base remains (crest missing)
• Beautiful aged patina throughout

Condition:
Shows age-related wear, scratches, lacquer loss, oxidation, and fabric deterioration consistent with long-term storage. The helmet stand is not included unless shown otherwise.
