Very attractive trio of Zambian Folk Art, purchased in Harare in 1988 & then stored until a recent move, thus (virtually) new. Very plain wood frames with gilt interiors, thick mount. Unfortunately in storage these mounts have picked up some foxing although the art work is still pristine. Artist has signed then with the initial H. Definitely one for the collector of this genre.
Backing seems to be by staples (possibly with traces of rust!) with paper mounting tape around . see photos. Frames are 5.5" high & 5" wide.
Sold by a private seller & are generally downsizing. No wholesale buying. Packed with care, certainly not naked in plastic bags suitable only for magazines & the like. Will always describe as best as possible with limited knowledge of the genre.
EBay has added an extra tax on buyers from Private buyers so I will reimburse this (£2.00) if my price is met. EBay also now set the postage..
