The plates feature a rich brown transferware base accented with hand-painted polychrome detailing, framed by a classic oak leaf and acorn border. The undersides carry the older Johnson Bros eagle banner backstamp (Patent No. 111255).

These plates have been well-cared for and are free from structural damage like chips, deep cracks, or repairs. However, buyers should expect significant overall crazing (the network of fine lines beneath the clear glaze) which is typical for earthenware of this era and provenance. The transferware remains crisp and the hand-painted colors are still bright. They display beautifully and are ready for use.
