Unplug the machine and wait until the machine is cold.

Get a small Philips Head screwdriver and unscrew the small screw which is holding the metal filter grid on in the brew head assembly. Don't force it as you may shear the screw off.

Remove the metal filter grid and take out the worn brew head seal, noting the direction it fits into the brew head unit. You may need to gently ease this out with a thin flat screwdriver but it will come out.

With a damp cloth clean the brew head assembly out.

Fit the metal grid to the new seal as it is easier to see what you're doing. Wet the seal and the grid to aid in refitting.

Refit the seal and the grid with the small screw. Be careful not to overtighten.

We recommend that you do not leave the filter handle attached to the machine as this will reduce the life of the seal.
