This is a keysight booting Agilent badge exa almost identical to the mxa 9020a . I seriously can't find a difference in performance or any characteristic! With windows 7 and the fast computer upgrade pc4 which allows for blazing fast 1 us zero span sweeps!!!
Compared to the cheapo budget n9000a the cxa, this is a massive step up in the amount of parts it has and the performance!!! But comparing it to the mxa it seems identical to me in every way that I can see except slightly faster sweeps at lower zoomed in spans.
Phase noise is measuring identical.
Danl looks even better at an incredie jaw dropping -154 DBm at 26.5 GHz!!!!!! Wow!!!! Thanks to the option p26 full range preamp!!!!
. All the options are the same. Display looks incredible! Maybe someone out there can tell me the difference.

Unknown hours as all 4 left of our X series we have say 1.6 million hrs. Unsure how it got like that. But looks like super low hours as the display is so bright !!! Id guess under 500 hours! And thats Uber rare! It's possible that it has under 50 hours even! Who knows?
It looks like new as you can see!
The other ones we have look much more used . This is the best of the litter!

UPGRADED TO SSD: As shown it has a brand new 500 Gb SSD installed so it boots up way faster!. This Unit includes Portable Handle. We have both Bench and Portable Units available.
We upgrade all our units to ssds which load much faster and respond quicker , cleaned keypads, rebuilt attenuators for preventitive maintenance.
The very bestest thing about this is for calibrations you never have to send it to an overpriced realignment cal house like keysight or micro precision as you would need to with psa series like an e4440a, but instead these have built in self automated preselect filter alignment just like the 859xx series . And if it has corrections option which most of these do including this one, the flatness can easily be recalibrated with any generator, splitter and sensor manually! You just make your own simple corrections table and modify a few points that may drift mildly over time but luckily these filters are far more stable and reliable than the e4440a,8563ec,e4407b, etc ...which use traditional rythms that everyone knows by now drifts and degrades over time.
They have re engineered their preselector with the x series going back to their ytf filter roots like they had with the 859xx and 8563a series which were far more reliable of the high bands back then. Now they have solved the reliability issue by reverting back to the original design but still managed to bring the danl way lower than in those old days where the rythm design prevailed in danl.(Noise floor)
In a nutshell now you have the best of both worlds in reliability and sensitivity!
FULL NIST CALIBRATION: Good for 2years.
These Units are superior to the e444xa series because the self calibrations are so well done it even calibrates its yig filter for the high band and has 2 cal reference signals: one for low and one for high band at 4.8 ghz! This way you always have accurate flatness and preselect tuning after running user cals! This one also has a cool option called user freq standard adjust so no more needing to send it into agilent like you have to do with the e444xa series predecessor to align the 10 mhz reference!
The mxa series has all the great things you love from the earlier models like performance and measurement capabilities but in a much more compact lightweight design that even without a front handle or rubbers, its still super portable and fits on the bench with ease and tons of extra room!
