Introducing the Toujours Prêt Military Watch

Ready for Any Mission. Anytime. Anywhere.

  • Military Field watch
please read to understand this movement

  • This is our tribute to the legendary field watches. It draws inspiration from WWII-era military watches such as the Rolex Oyster—notable for combining a hand-wound movement with a screw-down crown. These watches introduced techniques known as “Backsetting” and “Back-threading.”

  •  1.  Backsetting: To set the time, move the minute hand past your desired time, then turn it back before pushing in the crown.

  •  2.  Back-threading: Before screwing the crown down, rotate it counterclockwise until you feel a click.

  •  3.  Hard Stop:  A characteristic of these watches is a firm winding stop - often summarized by the old watchmaker’s phrase, “Don’t wind to the wall.” If you reach the stop, do not force it. Let the crown rest before screwing down.

  •  4. Power reserve is 40+ hours—no need to over-wind.
