Door Handle Springs (2 + 1/2 turn coil). 1 pack contains 3 Right Hand Springs and 3 Left Hand Springs. External Diameter 21mm. Made from 1.65mm diameter round wire. 4mm side arms protrude at right angles to the coil. A similar spring, but made from 1.4mm wire is also available. Please click ‘visit the Northern DIY store’ by the title above to locate the 1.4mm spring. There are 2 extra photographs showing the 1.4mm and 1.65mm springs next to a stack of one penny pieces. If you don't have a micrometer this is a good way to determine the wire diameter of your existing spring. Tip: When fitting a new spring a little grease will give better wear and movement. The additional photographs show the spring being fitted to a Rothley Brass RB/G 101 door handle. The spring is positioned below the cam washer and the only part usually visible is the top arm as it pokes through the small hole in the cam washer (see photo). However, if your spring is broken you may just see an empty hole here. The springs in this listing are suitable for Rothley Brass models RB/G 100, RB/G 101, RB/G 200, RB/G 201 (These codes are stamped on the inside of the handle plate. Sometimes the 'G' can look like a '6'). However, the springs do suit other makes as well. Please note it may be necessary to shorten one of the spring arms to prevent it protruding through the front of the handle plate. We offer a very similar spring made from 1.4mm wire which is also suitable for certain Rothley Brass handles, eg. the Rothley Brass G102/30. There's a picture of this handle in the listing for the 1.4mm spring.
