The product is an antique c. 1890s Gamewell Police Telegraph Box from New York City, United States. This historical memorabilia item is a unique piece of police collectible featuring the organization's equipment from the late 19th century. The telegraph box holds historical significance as it represents a time when telegraphs were used for communication within the police department during that era.
The lock has been drilled and removed, the inside of the box is empty, the outside of the box is in very good condition, it is going to weight right at 30 pounds to ship.
The lock latch will come with the box, it was inside the box when I bought it, just need to get a new lock. Very attractive paint job I cannot tell you if it is original but it looks awsome to me. Several scuffs and scratches nothing harmful to the box, no cracks.
This particular box actually did it come from a retired Police officer that his time was spent in Neew York City and thats where he acquired it.
