Description
Gibson Heritage Custom Used Acoustic Guitar 1970
This is a rare Gibson model with rosewood sides and back, in exceptionally beautiful, superb condition.
The top is spruce, the sides and back are rosewood, and it features an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The tuners are original Schaller tuners with the GIBSON engraving and operate smoothly.
The frets are original, thin and low-profile. The nut is original, the neck angle has been reset, and the saddle has been readjusted with a new, higher-profile one.
The pickguard is original and free of cracks around the edges.
A strap pin is installed on the side of the neck heel.
The wood has aged beautifully, developing a rich amber color, but is otherwise in excellent condition. There is one small dent on the left side of the top, but it retains almost the appearance of a brand-new instrument.
The neck is a regular grip with a nut width of approximately 42.6 mm.
The truss rod is fully functional and has plenty of adjustment range.
At the 12th fret, the string height is approximately 2.2 mm for the 6th string and 1.5 mm for the 1st string.
It doesn't have the rough, unrefined feel often associated with 1970s Gibson vintage guitars; instead, it has a well-balanced sound with a cohesive bass tone characteristic of a rosewood body.
Comes with a 1970s Gibson hard case.
