Product Introduction: The PMF83000 series second-generation gas mass flow sensor is specifically designed for respiratory care, medical, and testing equipment. Compared to the first-generation solution, the PMF83000 series gas mass flow sensor offers significant improvements in accuracy, repeatability, stability, and signal-to-noise ratio.

The PMF83000 series flow sensor is a third-generation chip, employing newly innovative precision machining technology. The entire sensor circuit board, including the sensor chip, is coated with a piston coating, allowing the sensor to operate in extreme environments, such as high humidity and various corrosive gas environments. The PMF83000 series flow sensor features a unique single-channel design, avoiding condensation and dust particle blockage that can occur with complex flow channels.

The PMF83000 series flow sensor can simultaneously output I2C signals and standard voltage signals. Furthermore, the PMF83000 series sensor can perform bidirectional measurements.

Output Value Description

PMF83000
Instantaneous flow rate = [(Vout - 0.5 V) / 4 V] × Full-scale flow rate

Example: The full-scale flow rate of the PMF83050 is 50 SLM. When the readout value is 3.5 V, the instantaneous flow rate is:
[(3.5 V - 0.5 V) / 4 V] × 50 SLM = 37.5 SLM

PMF83000 I²C
Instantaneous flow rate = [(Count - 6553) / 52428] × Full-scale flow rate

Example: The full-scale flow rate of the PMF83050 is 50 SLM. When the readout value is 10000, the instantaneous flow rate is:
[(10000 - 6553) / 52428] × 50 SLM = 3.28 SLM
