Authenticity: Pendant signed "VCA 18Kt (C) 76 C1126 R25". French maker's mark for Péry et Fils and assay stamp present. Design featured in a 1977 print advertisement 

Material/s: 18k Yellow Gold stamped "18Kt". Gold has been XRF tested

Dimensions: Pendant 20mm wide and hangs 34mm

Accessories: Comes in a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels pouch

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with a light patina to the gold

Comments: Likely inspired by the energy crisis of the 1970's where shortages made fuel as precious as gold. The 1970's was a transformative era for modern jewellery design and is epitomised by this rare piece of history
