In addition to the traditional combination of a rotating bezel and 24-hour hand that allows two time zones to be displayed, the GMT-Master II can also display three time zones simultaneously by combining an independently adjustable hour hand. This is the second-generation Ref. 16710, which replaced the previous Ref. 16760 in 1988. With the popularity of the GMT-Master II, production of the previous GMT-Master was discontinued in 2000, but the blue/red two-tone and black solid bezel that were only available on the Ref. 16700 were inherited by this Ref. 16710, and since then, the Ref. 16710 has been available in a total of three bezels: blue/red and black solid, in addition to the traditional black/red two-tone. |
