A wood hoop from a traps era bass drum. Fits a 27-inch diameter shell, a rare odd size that was produced by Gretsch and perhaps other companies in the 1900s-30s. 3-Ply, appears to be Oak or Maple. 

Generally good condition for its age as shown, paint is probably not original and it has a hole drilled in from old marching hardware. Roughly in round, no serious warping, no cracks. Perfectly usable with some minor TLC.
