In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year at Hogwarts and discovers that the truth about his recent clash with Lord Voldemort has been hidden from the wizarding community. The Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge fears that the venerable headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, is keeping him in the dark about Voldemort's return: in order to weaken his power and take his place he chooses a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who will allow him to have control over Dumbledore and the students of Hogwarts. However, the defense magic course of the unpleasant teacher Dolores Umbridge leaves the young wizards unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces, putting them and the entire magical community at risk. At this point Harry takes matters into his own hands and follows the suggestion of his friends Hermione and Ron: he secretly summons a small group of students who he will call Dumbledore's Army and teaches them how to defend themselves against the dark arts, preparing the young and courageous wizards for unfortunately inevitable clashes.
