This is a scarce specimen of the 1890 CC Liberty Double Eagle. Absolutely genuine. A very scarce coin, Scarce in any and all grades.  This one is AU++in grade with an excellent strike. Full mint luster. Beautiful color. No tooling. Not ex-jewelry.  Check the eagles wing tips. Has some cabinet friction, but very, very little wear on this one.  Check variety.
