Vintage 75 year-old Chambers Red Freestanding Cooking Range has 3 Burners, 1 fabulous Oven, Griddle Plate, storage compartment, and best of all, a Well (the best thing they ever got rid of on modern stoves).
As I couldn’t get around eBay’s drop-down menu, the actual model of the stove is 90 CR. The serial number is 1–3392.
It’s a beautiful, wonderful, working stove. Its reputation is well-deserved as I’ve never used a stove as good as this one! It does have one inconspicuous place where a small square of red chipped off (on top of the backsplash). The light doesn’t work anymore, but if it’s a dealbreaker, I’ll get it fixed. Other than that, it’s fairly pristine condition at 75 years old.
It needs a home where it will be loved as much as I have loved it all my life. It’s worth, according to another site that sold this same stove, $6,500. Depending on interest, I’ll consider both higher and lower offers.
Due to how well this stove is made, it’s very heavy, so ideally I’d prefer a local pick-up (it currently resides in Santa Monica, CA, but is moving to Inglewood, CA soon). If you want the stove, but aren’t local, you’ll have to be willing to arrange and pay all the shipping costs, which could be quite expensive.
