Condition Description

A holy grail for MIJ collectors: a 1982 Squier JV-Serial Stratocaster. This first-year production unit features the high-spec Kluson-style tuners and has been heavily upgraded for professional stage use.

Upgrades & Mods:

Bridge Pickup: Upgraded to a premium Vanzandt True Vintage for world-class boutique tone.

Electronics: Brand new Volume pot and 5-way switch installed—zero noise or scratchiness.

Pickguard: Replaced (new screw holes added).

Condition & Playability:

Neck: Straight with a fully functional truss rod (plenty of room).

Frets: Leveled and polished, approx. 70% remaining. Excellent playing feel.

Cosmetics: Authentic heavy wear with scratches and paint peeling, especially around the elbow cut. This is a true "battle-worn" vintage piece.

Note: Back plate is missing. Body, neck, tuners, bridge, and jack are original JV parts.
