Ancient Roman Glass upcycled pendant beads! Handmade in Afghanistan, these mixed shaped beads are made from reclaimed very old ancient roman glass that were once vessels like perfume bottles, water jugs, plates and cups. Remnants of these vessels have been salvaged and hand-carved into beads. These various vessels of glass were traded eastward along the silk road trade route from Rome to the east and many fragments are found in Afghanistan and the middle east and repurposed into fine glass beads.
