On October 3, 1962, astronaut Walter Schirra wore his personal Speedmaster during the Mercury Project Sigma 7 mission. Fifty years later, in 2012, Omega reissued Walter Schirra's 1962 Speedmaster Ref. CK2998, releasing it as the "First Omega in Space." The model featured here is the second edition, released in 2024, 12 years later.
