The Castelli Gavia jacket is made for those days when speed and lightness are sacrificed for the best possible barrier against rain and cold coming from outside. If you've never had a jacket like this, you've never experienced the feeling of riding a bike just because you have to, enjoying one of the most epic days ever.
The heavier GORE-TEX® fabric has been used which guarantees greater durability because it gives a more generous cut to this jacket, to prevent the fabric from fluttering around. But it will still allow you to pedal in an aggressive position, aided by the stretch panels. The same stretch panels have been added around the wrists, so you can put on and take off your Diluvio gloves and also on the sides in case you fill up the back pockets.
While it's a jacket for absolutely extreme conditions, it's small enough to fold up and stow away in your jersey pocket or, better yet, in a bag, because this jacket is a must-have for your next multi-day adventure.
