For sale is an authentic antique Triner Scale & Mfg. Co. postal balance scale, marked:
• “Triner Scale & Mfg. Co., Chicago, Ill.”
• “Property of P.O. Dept.”
• Inspection tag dated Jan. 1965

This is a heavy cast iron mechanical balance scale originally used by the U.S. Post Office. It features the original beam, brass sliding weights, and platform. The decorative gold lettering and scrollwork are still visible.

Condition:
• Original black finish with significant age-related wear and paint loss
• Surface rust consistent with age
• Original inspection and property stickers still attached
• Untested for calibration accuracy
• Beam and weight slide move freely (adjust if needed based on your experience)

This is a great piece for:
