This 1980s Yamaha Broad Bass VI (BB-VI) is in excellent functional condition, offering the classic "Made in Japan" reliability and punch. The electronics and single split-coil pickup are fully operational, delivering a thick, warm, and mid-forward Precision-style tone. The neck shows a slight forward bow (up-bow) but remains very playable with the action set at approximately 2.0mm–3.0mm at the 12th fret. Remarkably, the frets show almost no wear, and the truss rod has plenty of room to adjust in both directions. Cosmetically, there are some scratches, finish chips on the body side, coating cracks on the top/back, and oxidation on metal parts consistent with its 40-year history (please refer to photos). It includes an original Yamaha hard case, though two latches are missing; consider it for shipping protection only. Sold as-is.
