A 1708 Queen Anne silver Crown, struck at the Edinburgh Mint and bearing the “E” mintmark below the bust.
This desirable SEXO edge issue (“in the seventh year of her reign”) was minted after the historic year of the Act of Union between England and Scotland.
The coin features Queen Anne’s draped bust left with ANNA·DEI·GRATIA on the obverse, and on the reverse the cruciform shields of England, Scotland, Ireland and France with the Star of the Garter at the centre.
