Excellent Wood 1920 Antique REX  B  W  QUALITY SUPERB Tennis Racket Intact Red Strings

Classic vintage early wooden racquet with wide oval teardrop shape and cool REX logo; Not much seems to be known about this maker; excellent solid quality throughout with dramatic wood tones; dark red strings intact with doubled mains

HEAD: Classic wide oval shape; stock is square at the base of the head and square as it goes around the top; expected wear to the top of the head

WARPING: none

FRAME: retains most of the soft glow original finish on the shaft, throat and around the head

THROAT WEDGE:  convex 1905 patent 5-piece wedge

STRINGS:  original dark red animal gut; intact; doubled mains as shown

BANDING: four red thread graduated bands intact

IMPRINTED STAMPS:  13 ½ OZ      as shown

WEIGHT: 13.7 ounces actual weight

DECALS: as shown

GRIP:  5 inches around; shallow vertical grooves; this racket never had grip material

END CAP: leather strip at the base of the handle is about 98% intact; the heel end cap as shown.
