This original artwork is part of my African Still Life collection, a series focused on everyday kitchen objects found throughout North African homes bowls, pitchers, utensils, baskets, and serving vessels.
Each piece is created quickly and intuitively using wet NeoColor II crayons on paper, allowing color to blend, bleed, and settle naturally. Imperfect lines, uneven edges, and layered textures are intentional and embraced as part of the handmade process.
Rather than decorative styling, these works reflect functional, lived-in objects items meant to be used, stacked, poured from, and shared. Shadows are simplified, backgrounds are minimal, and the focus stays on form, color, and material.
This piece stands on its own, but it also belongs to a larger collection. When viewed together in my store, the works create a cohesive kitchen-table narrative rooted in culture, utility, and quiet rhythm.
If you're drawn to handmade objects, process-driven art, or still life with cultural grounding, you may enjoy exploring the full collection in my store.
