Original 2006 US-issue CD of selected recordings by American finger-picking acoustic guitarist and singer Doc Watson with guitarist son Merle Watson, and friends, taken from the pair’s early-1980s albums for the Flying Fish label.
This collection features various line-ups for these folk, bluegrass, Western Swing arrangements, drawing from the albums Red Rocking Chair, Doc and Merle Watson’s Guitar Album and Watson Country.
The three-guitar instrumental “Blackberry Blossom” features Doc Watson, Norman Blake and Tony Rice and was taken from Norman Blake & Tony Rice 2.
