A proper piece of British hi-fi history. This is a Rogers HG88 Mk2 integrated valve amplifier, presented in good cosmetic condition for its age and offered as an untested project piece.
The HG88 series represents classic British valve amplifier design from the golden era of hi-fi. These amplifiers are widely respected for their musical presentation and build quality and are increasingly sought after by collectors and restoration enthusiasts.
Internal photographs and video have been provided so buyers can assess the condition themselves. The amplifier appears to remain a very original example.
Overall, the internal condition appears consistent with an untouched vintage amplifier that has not been recently modified or heavily repaired.
Cosmetically good for its vintage. There is age-related wear as expected, including light rusting to the chassis and typical dust accumulation internally.
This unit has not been powered on or electrically tested and is therefore being sold as a project piece.
It is therefore being sold strictly as: Untested / Spares / Repairs / Restoration Project.
If I decide to have this professionally serviced and restored it will likely be relisted at a significantly higher price, as these amplifiers can become extremely desirable once restored.
This will be carefully packed using reinforced boxing, protective padding and secure valve protection. Valves will be removed and individually wrapped where appropriate for safe transit.
Collection welcome. Sensible questions welcome.
