The Explorer was developed based on the Oyster Perpetual, which was provided to the British Everest Expedition in the 1950s. This is the Ref. 124270, which was released in 2021 to replace the previous generation Ref. 214270, and attracted a lot of attention as it returned to the traditional 36mm diameter from the 39mm diameter that had been maintained for around 10 years until then. Equipped with the in-house movement, Cal. 3230, which boasts a power reserve of around 70 hours, this watch boasts first-class practical performance as a modern mechanical watch while maintaining its style. |
