Custom-made Louisiana Styled Prison Strap with poplar hardwood handle and double-bound cowhide sole leather strap. Leather is double-bound with saddle stitching hand stitched around the entire perimeter of the strap, mounted to handle with six half-inch wooden dowels. Handle painted in solid white enamel to match the acrylic paint made especially for leather. The end of the handle is lathe turned to a phallic-like shape providing an easy grip. Overall length 36 ¼ inches; handle 16 inch long by 4 inch wide by 1 ¾ inch thick; strap 22 ½ inches long by 5 inches wide by ½ inch thick. Total weight 2 pounds 14 ounces.
This strap was made to be used with two hands for maximum leverage and force. It is not for the faint of heart. These straps were initially made to be used on hardened criminals to cause maximum pain with minimal damage, although bruising (and screaming) is very likely to occur with multiple blows.
