The 16610 was released in 1989 to replace the 16800, and was one of the models that solidified Rolex's popularity in the 1990s. When it was released, its appearance was almost the same as the 16800, but various improvements were made along the way, such as a strengthened bracelet in 1999, a change to Super-LumiNova for the luminous paint in 1998, and the addition of a roulette stamp in 2007. |
