This is a postwar reproduction of the famous 3451 Log Unloading Car, made to work with the magnetic #6019 or UCS track. I cannot test the loader because I have no transformer or magnetic track, but the wires and sensor appear to be intact. Paint is worn but no major chips, and white lettering is still crisp. Staple-end trucks, but none of the original wood logs remain. Repro box is complete but the glue has detached from one side, leaving one long edge open.
This is from my father's collection. A lifelong inhabitant of New York City and an avid Lionel collector since childhood, he kept his collection in excellent shape, in custom-built storage cases and in the original packaging as often as possible. Of course, there is some normal wear and tear but if a piece or its packaging has any damage beyond that, I will include it in the description and/or pictures.
Our family has selected our favorite pieces and would like to see that the rest go to people or places that will also appreciate them. We have many pieces of Lionel rolling stock, buildings, and equipment as well as various books and ephemera from a happy long life as a railfan.
There are hundreds of pieces and it will take several months to list them all, so keep an eye on my account to see if a piece you'd like is listed. We have items from the 1930s to the early 2000s. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I will be happy to combine items to reduce shipping costs if you buy more than one item. Please don't pay until you've bought all the items you'd like to be sent at once so I can combine the invoice and calculate the shipping.
