Jack Heuer, who became president of Heuer in 1962 and made a name for himself in sports timing through the production of excellent dashboard clocks and stopwatches, released a new generation of Chronograph in 1963 with an eye on the coming era of wristwatch-type Chronographs, which was the beginning of the current Tag Heuer flagship, Carrera.
