This exquisite Royal Doulton figurine depicts Elizabeth Bennet, the beloved heroine from Pride and Prejudice, as part of the Romance of Literature – Literary Heroines collection. Modelled by artist Pauline Parsons, the figure beautifully captures Lizzy’s intelligence, poise, and quiet emotional intensity.

Elizabeth is shown standing gracefully beside a small table, delicately holding a teacup, a moment that subtly echoes the social rituals and restrained tensions of Regency life. She wears a flowing gown in soft ivory and blush tones, gently washed with pastel floral accents, while the bodice is finished in a rich, deep raspberry-pink glaze that adds warmth and contrast. Her refined features, softly blushed cheeks, and carefully styled hair are all brought to life through gorgeous hand-painted details, showcasing Royal Doulton’s exceptional craftsmanship.

The base bears a quotation from Pride and Prejudice:

This figurine was issued as a small limited edition of 3,500 pieces in 1998, and is signed in gold and dated November 1999, presumably by the artist. It stands approximately 20cm tall.
