Description: Presented is a beautiful antique German cake/pie server with an ornate handle and an elaborately engraved blade.
Marked with "12" German silver standard. The 12 loth standard was in place in Germany since the mid-1700s. It was replaced by the decimal standard in 1886. The server was made in the mid-19th century, approximately in the 1850s-1860s.
The server is in good condition with some minor dings to the blade. No breaks or repairs. The handle shows no damage.
It weighs 1.8 oz or 54 gramms.
It is 12.25" long.
