The Ref. 114200 was released in 2007 as the successor to the Ref. 14000M. The traditional "Air-King" logo, which had been printed on the dial until then, suddenly disappeared in 2014, sparking controversy and calling for the "end of the Air-King." However, two years later, it reappeared on the dial of the new Ref. 116900, surprising watch enthusiasts worldwide. Production of the Ref. 114200 subsequently ended with the introduction of the 124200 in 2020, but the Oyster Perpetual, which has consistently featured the core movement for men's models in 34mm cases since the 1950s, was once again surprised by the Cal. 2232 movement in the Ref. 124200. |
