Naturally softer and more flexible than full-grain leather, suede varies slightly in stability depending on the hide. These variations are inherent to the material and do not indicate defects in quality or manufacturing.
Insole: Natural Leather
The insole is made of natural leather with an untreated surface. Birkenstock intentionally preserves the natural grain and distinctive characteristics of the leather. A durable leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters is used for the upper, ensuring long-term resilience.
Footbed Material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material sourced from the bark of the cork oak tree. As a natural insulator, it provides excellent cushioning and adapts ergonomically to the shape of the foot over time.
