A proven DIY retrofit (over 2000 sold since May 2022) for enabling CCS1 adapter capability on your older Model 3 (pre-Oct 5, 2020 North American version) when using a Gen4 ECU. 

All you need to do is buy this and the Gen4 ECU part number 1537264-00-B or 1537264-01-B which is now available on Tesla's online catalog, EPC (epc.tesla.com) for $140 plus tax.  Users also have reported 1537264-10-E (smaller black one) will work with our bundle of wires but may not mount to the car the same way.  1537264-80-B will NOT work as it doesn't have CCS capability.

NOTE!  We do not recommend buying the Gen4 ECU from anywhere else except from Tesla.  We have too many people finding out the hard way that the seller was unscrupulous.  The best chance for success is buying from Tesla since only Tesla can guarantee the Gen4 ECU will work 100%.  

A customer who bought a package (ECU with lower quality bundle of wires) from an unscrupulous seller is now trying to get a refund.  He writes "I am pleased to inform you that following your advice to purchase directly from Tesla and then install the ECU, everything worked as expected on the first try. It was indeed the faulty/incorrect/tampered ECU. I'm now in the process of getting a refund on the other purchase, which has proven difficult..."

Not for Model Y, only older Model 3 (pre Oct 5, 2020, built with chrome trim).  This product will only enable CCS1 charging without affecting the other charging methods.  It will not enable Supercharging if it is currently disabled.
