This stock represents one of the few known surviving certificates from a small 19th-century private turnpike company in Sullivan County, NY, which likely facilitated travel and commerce between Fallsburgh (Fallsburg) and Grahamsville before the roads were publicly owned.

The note indicates the turnpike was eventually sold to the county and the company dissolved, offering an intriguing glimpse into the evolution of local infrastructure and early private investment in transportation.

Condition: I am not a professional and this comes from my father’s collection of antique stocks & bonds. Given its age, it looks good. It shows age related toning, foxing, edge wear / folds but no tears. It has a beautiful printed vignette, ornate borders, and font from the period all printed by The Broun-Green Co NY.

A rare collectible for:

• Antique stock certificate collectors

• Historical document enthusiasts

• Local New York / Sullivan County history collectors
