1992 First Day Covers & Certificates NY STOCK EXCHANGE Unusual Collection of 18 1992 First Day Covers & Certificates. A 29¢ postage stamp was issued on May 17, 1992 (my birthday!) to honor the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the New York Stock Exchange. Many non-philatelic (stamp collector) people made First Day Covers with unusual cachets for this stamp. In addition, I applied the new stamp to three stock certificates of defunct companies. Also, I acquired a color test sheet that Keith Harward made to find the most effective colors for his KAH Cachet. Here's what you get in the mini collection: • Four First Day Covers, mass-produced B&W and color printed on standard #6¾ envelope (6½" x 3⅝"). These are Artcraft, Artmaster, Eastern, and Fleetwood. Excellent condition, unaddressed, no marks, no creases, no wrinkles. In vinyl sleeve. • Ten First Day Covers, limited editions, that involved hand painting or special work by the cachet-makers: * Tony Cardarelli Cachets. Original pen and ink (silver point) drawing of bull and bear. Only 37 made. * Richard D. Sheaff, Info Cachet #8. Red and green cachet with informative insert. #35 of 110. * Keith Harward, KAH Cachets. Hand painted with 22 colors as shown on unique one-of-a-kind color test sheet. #3 of 20. * Nancy Ladd Cachet #37. Hand colored original drawing of 3 cats. #24 of 86. * Julian Pugh Cachets. Hand colored on vintage illustration. Lengthy information insert. #75 of 115. * John Ranto. Envelope made from newspaper stock market listing. Possibly 53 made. * RVS (not listed with AFDCS). Probably made this one cover only. Three large dollar signs on pink envelope. #7 of 10. * R. Shuey. Hand painted original drawing. #2 of 10. * Thomas J. O'Hagan, S&T Cachets. Reduced size Railway stock certificate. One of the best! * Wile (not listed with AFDCS). Cachet made from wrapping a Wall Street Candy Bar wrapper around a #6 envelope. #2 of 12. • Fleetwood Maxi Card No. 922-22. Original painting by Shannon Stirnweis with information about the issue on the back of the card. • Pan American World Airways actual stock certificate for 100 shares with postage stamp and FDOI (First Day of Issue) cancel added. • International Banknote Company actual stock certificate for 2 shares with postage stamp and FDOI cancel added. • Twentieth Century Investors actual account certificate with postage stamp and FDOI cancel added. For shipping, I will send the lot of 18 items via USPS First Class Mail at the lowest rate to any address in the USA. I'm not like some Internet sellers who build big profits into shipping and screw the buyer. Make an offer! What do you have to lose? Who am I?
