If you’re looking for a Les Paul that balances classic "Burst" aesthetics with modern playability, this 2016 Standard T is a phenomenal choice. I’ve owned a few Gibsons, and this one stands out—not just for the incredible depth in the flame, but for how it actually feels in your hands.
The Top: This isn't your average flame. It’s a AAA Premium Plus top, meaning the movement and "tiger stripe" effect are much more intense than a standard model. It looks different from every angle.
The Player's Neck: It features the Asymmetrical SlimTaper profile. It’s slightly thicker on the bass side and thinner on the treble side, which sounds technical, but in practice, it just means your hand doesn't fatigue during long sessions.
No "Gimmicks": Being the "T" (Traditional) model, this has the rock-solid Grover Locking Tuners—no electronic tuners here.
This guitar plays like a dream. The action is set low and fast without any buzzing, thanks to the compound radius fingerboard. Chords feel natural at the nut, and you can bend strings as high as you want up the neck without "choking out."
Sonically, the Burstbucker Pro pickups give you that classic PAF growl. However, the 4 push/pull pots make this a Swiss Army knife. You can tap the coils for single-coil sounds or use the "Pure Bypass" to send the bridge pickup straight to the jack for a massive lead boost.

Body: The guitar has been loved and played. There are some minor dings and light surface marks. They are subtle and only visible when you tilt the guitar into the light (I’ve tried to capture these in the "reflection" photos).
Structural: No breaks, no repairs. The neck is straight, the truss rod works perfectly, and there is loads of life left on the frets.
Case: Includes the original Gibson Brown Hard Shell Case and the factory inspection paperwork.
