A-List Celebrity Menswear Grail: Rare $7,500 w/Tax TOM FORD Suede Jacket, Incredible Fit & Details

Selling this for a friend, but I have the same one and literally spent years searching the globe for it to surface! I will never sell mine. Out of my entire collection, this stunning TOM FORD piece is right at the top for my favorite piece.

It’s made of exquisite calf suede, unlined and fits like a glove. Numerous A-List celebrities have this version in their wardrobes including Brad Pitt, Tom Brady, and Luke Bryan (see photos). This is extremely rare to find, especially in this size and condition.

The Italians know the power of browns.

As you can see it goes with everything rendered in dual chocolate tones (the darker can look almost black in certain light). It’s been said the Italians “know the power of browns” in their wardrobe and it’s so true – adding tonal browns into your wardrobe can look effortlessly stylish. Having spent a few weeks traveling the length of the country this summer, I can attest to this – you saw it everywhere in Italy. You can go tonal or add contrast with darks and lights and it all looks amazing.

GQ said it best: If money is truly no object, Tom Ford makes holy-grail-level leather jackets so beautiful they bring a tear to the eye. That’s just what the best jackets for men do. They make you stand a little taller, speak with a little more conviction, and seem altogether more alluring. They are like the pill Bradley Cooper takes in the movie Limitless, only they unlock genuine cool instead of psychotic ambition. Of course, confidence of that magnitude doesn’t come cheap. These jackets will keep you feeling like your very best self for years and years to come.

This jacket went for a premium above the other TF leather jackets back then. Retail on this was $7,500 with LA tax then and would be closer to $10K today with the new pricing.

A coveted suede jacket like this is one of the best time-tested essentials in your entire wardrobe. I worked my way up to lines like Tom Ford and there’s just no substitute, from the fit and details. I’ve seen so many guys wearing cheap-to-mid range versions that might look good from a distance, but fall apart up close. The best jackets just get better the closer you get and the details really come alive. It makes such a huge difference to your confidence, your overall demeanor and the attention/respect you attract (women especially notice these details). An investment like this is definitely worth the money.

Mr Tom Ford’s design philosophy is simple: don’t settle for anything less than perfection. And that maxim applies as much to a plain cotton T-shirt as it does a wool barathea tuxedo with all the trimmings. Achieving perfection, of course, is harder than it looks.
