Precision Low Drift 4-20mA TWO-WIRE TRANSMITTER

Description:

The XTR101 is a microcircuit 4-20mA two-wiretransmitter containing a high accuracy instrumentationamplifier (IA) a voltage-controlled output current sourceand dual-matched precision current reference. Thiscombination is ideally suited for remote signal conditioningof a wide variety of transducers such as thermocouplesRTDs thermistors and strain gauge bridges. State-of-theartdesign and laser-trimming wide temperature rangeoperation and small size make it very suitable forindustrial process control applications. In addition theoptional external transistor allows even higher precision.The two-wire transmitter allows signal and power to besupplied on a single wire pair by modulating thepower-supply current with the input signal source. Thetransmitter is immune to voltage drops from long runs andnoise from motors relays actuators switchestransformers and industrial equipment. It can be used byOEMs producing transmitter modules or by dataacquisition system manufacturers.
