A fascinating Japanese decorative pattern book, featuring numerous finely detailed woodblock-printed textile and ornamental designs. These pattern books were traditionally used by craftsmen, dyers, weavers, and designers as reference material for kimono fabrics, brocades, interior textiles, and other decorative arts. The book is produced in the traditional Japanese format, with printed pattern panels showing a wide range of geometric, floral, cloud, wave, and symbolic motifs. The designs are highly graphic and remain very visually striking today, making this an appealing piece for collectors, designers, and researchers alike. The printing appears to be done from hand-carved woodblocks on traditional paper, and the binding and materials are consistent with 19th-century Japanese craft manuals.
