• The "Butterfly Gold" pattern was first introduced in 1972 as part of the "Pyrex Compatibles" line designed to match Corelle dinnerware. 
• The pattern was released in two versions; the original 1972 design and a slightly altered 1979 version 
• The bowls are made of opal (white) glass and feature a repeating motif of flowers and butterflies in gold/orange tones. 
• They were produced as nesting bowl sets and casseroles and are popular collectible items today.
