This is an  exquisite and exceptionally well-preserved 19th-century French chromolithograph. This charming circular miniature depicts a romantic pastoral scene of a lady in a pink dress carving into a tree, watched by her faithful dog—a classic and highly desirable subject of the era.

Unlike many antique prints that show significant age flaws, this piece has been meticulously cared for and remains in true collector-ready condition. It is a superior alternative to the only other comparable example on the market, which has a damaged frame.

The chromolithograph is in remarkable, mint condition. There is NO foxing (brown age spots), NO fading, NO creases, tears, or stains. The soft, wash-like colors are vibrant and intact.

·The print is housed in its original 3.5-inch circular gilt wood frame. The frame is whole with no breaks, repairs, or glue stains—only authentic, minor age-consistent wear to the gilding. The glass is original and clear.

The back is sealed with its original period backing paper (a fascinating fragment of a Latin text), confirming its age and untouched state.

The "mistress and dog" motif is a perennial favorite among collectors of sentimental Victorian-era decor.
