This is from my grandmother’s collection. She thrifted her antiques from local Manhasset and Great Neck NY antique stores as well as many in Manhattan from the 1950’s until early 1970’s.

This beautiful oversized display plate features Raised gold (ormolu-style) decoration — heavy and well-applied;

Turquoise jeweled enamel cabochons

Art Nouveau influence in the repeating floral/garland motifs. Thick gilded rim and inner band making this an upper-tier

decorative ware.

This is not mass-market china — it was made as a cabinet/display plate or charger.
